I hope that you all had a great summer. Even though many of us had vacations, we were also busy here be-hind the scenes.
I’m pleased to announce that we have wonderful, informative, and entertaining programs coming up this club year.
Also note that we’ll be having a fun fundraiser on Saturday, October 12th: Lethal Luau, a murder mystery luncheon.
Karen Wilkinson and her Arts & Crafts committee have been busy with all the lovely decorations and centerpieces for these upcoming events.
And, I am sure you all are wondering what we are going to do as a club about the fee of $125 for our King’s Point residents. I went to a SCC Community Association (CA) meeting on August 22nd. As of right now, the CA Board is still going to be charging the King’s Point residents this fee starting January 1st, 2020 – although our club is still being considered for exemption as we are a national organization not just a club. So, as you can see, things are still rather unsettled. I will certainly keep you updated as I receive additional information.
On another note, I would like to say Thank You again for all the lovely meals, cards, visits, flowers, presents, and phone calls during my lengthy recovery. I was overwhelmed by all the compassion and love that I felt from all of you. I am so proud to be a member of the Woman’s Club and most of all your President. I promise to do my very best to help us grow in our efforts of assisting others in our community.
