Our club first met in 1962 and immediately embarked on the first of its many charitable fundraising projects, in this case fundraising for The March of Dimes. For 50 years now, the club has been an integral part of life in Sun City Center, Florida contributing to dozens of charitable and civic endeavors.

Pillows and Blankets for Wounded Warriors

The GFWC Sun City Center Woman’s Club, Inc. performed a Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. They volunteered at the South Shore Campaign Against Human Trafficking meeting and movie, selling refreshments, scarves and pins. They also helped at the welcome desk, checked people in, and handed out information on how people could support and join the Campaign Against Human trafficking-South Shore.
Their other project was collecting 80 teddy bears.The bears will be received by children enrolled in the Hope Fund after school program. The children who run in their marathon race will be awarded a bear, the first place winners get their choice of what bear they want then second, third, etc.
